The Solano Stroll is back! An annual street fair held every September, a week after Labor Day, on the Solano Avenue shopping district of Albany and Berkeley, California stretching close to 2 miles long and bringing between 250,000 and 300,000 attendees in a single day, it has been called the oldest and largest street festival in the San Francisco Bay Area and the “world’s biggest block party”!
Solano Stroll through Berkeley & Albany
Over five hundred vendors, non-profit organizations, food booths and entertainers. Begins at 10 am with the opening of Solano Avenue businesses and Stroll booths and you can visit one of 50 entertainers, 50 food booths, 150 juried arts and crafters, state of the art mechanical rides, and 150 community non-profit and government organizations, not to mention the unique and popular professional services, restaurants, and shops already here on Solano Avenue. You will hear the best in local music, dance and other performances and absolutely stunning costumes from all over the globe! This is a family event featuring a special area set aside just for kids that offer giant slides, carnival games, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, face painters, magicians and more!

The Sonoma County VegFest was conceived by a small group of compassionate SoCo vegans that wanted to share with their beloved county how wonderful living free of animal products can be. The VegFest will bring together vendors, natural foods stores, restaurants, nutritionists, professional cooks, and other knowledgeable people — including Palomacy volunteers with pigeons in pants! — to share their expertise with us. - Effective September 16, NightLife guests will no longer be required to provide proof of full vaccination or a recent negative test. We still strongly encourage all guests to stay up-to-date on their vaccinations, and to mask up indoors. As always, if you’re feeling under the weather, please NightLife another time. - Last entry into the rainforest exhibit is 7:30 pm—our animals need their sleep.
- Morrison Planetarium is now open at NightLife with 4 showtimes. To maximize staff and guest safety, planetarium passes are required and capacity is limited. Passes are available online in advance for an additional $5 while supplies last to reserve a seat at a 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, or 9:30 pm planetarium show. Please see our FAQs for more details. (Please note: A limited number of standby seats will be available for all showtimes as space allows on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and drink are not permitted inside the planetarium.)
- Beverages are available at various bars throughout the building, but food must enjoyed outdoors or in the Academy Cafe only.

For the first time in two years, NatureFest is back! This family-friendly event includes live animal presentations, hands-on activities, demonstrations, guided hikes and educational exhibits. NatureFest draws more than 1,000 attendees, including nature enthusiast, families, scout groups and other youth organizations. Promoting science & nature education and safe outdoor recreation, NatureFest is an excellent opportunity for local businesses and organizations to interact with our community.
