The festivities kick off with the “Cats, Tats, & Cocktails” party at the SF SPCA’s temporary adoption center (Florida @ 16th Street). Beer, wine, cocktails, and snacks will be complimentary. That’s right, OPEN BAR! (21+ only)
If you’re hungry, we will have Hella Vegan Eats, Manna Japanese Comfort Food, and Garden Creamery serving up tasty vegetarian bites from their food trucks.
During the cocktail party San Francisco’s most talented tattoo artists, including DannyBoy Smith from Let It Bleed Tattoo Parlor fame, will be offering their inking services for just $40.

- 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: The SF SPCA’s Dr. Jeannine Berger, one of only a handful of board-certified veterinary behaviorists in the country, will be reading from her chapter in the new book Decoding Your Dog and signing book copies. Dr. Berger will be joined by a trainer, which will be the purr-fect opportunity to ask behavior questions and solve any training issues.

Join us at this summer’s San Francisco Nihonmachi Street Fair, Sunday, August 3rd in SF’s Japantown (Post/Fillmore). The festival and outreach event will have a “Doggie World” area featuring local pet rescue agencies, pet care resources, and vendors.
This years’ theme is “Healthy Pet/Healthy You” and the community activity will be a short organized walk on Sunday from Fillmore up Post and around two blocks bordering the festival. Walking emphasizes the importance of exercise (for people and animals). The goal of the walk is to have fun and raise awareness about the animals in our community that need homes. You can show off your adoptable animals in a cute costume or a simple, classic “adopt me” bandana!
The festival attracts thousands of people over two days and is heavily advertised…on MUNI buses and MUNI kiosks throughout the City, on radio, and on digital ads at SFO International Airport. MickaCoo at the Cupertino Fall Festival

Come help MickaCoo make new friends and adopters for pigeons & doves! Meet birds, ask questions, have fun!Cupertino Fall Festival is returning to Cupertino Memorial Park. The event is co- presented by the Rotary Club of Cupertino and the World Journal. Free parking is available across the street at De Anza College.
Education is a major part of the festival. Activities begin in the Earth Zone, with presenters providing tips and information on sustainability, wellness and emergency preparedness. Businesses and nonprofit groups will display the latest energy-saving programs, alternative vehicles and other green activities at their booths.
The cultural fair will show off traditions from countries around the world through displays and interactive activities. The park’s amphitheater stage will also highlight musical and dance performances from around the world.
For younger visitors, the Kids Zone will feature rides, jump houses and crafts, as well as a petting zoo.
Local high school Amnesty International groups will be sponsoring an area dedicated to raising awareness on local human rights issues with games and activities. A variety of international gourmet food trucks will also be on hand.

Solano Stroll through Berkeley & Albany
Over five hundred vendors, non-profit organizations, food booths and entertainers. Begins at 10 am with the opening of Solano Avenue businesses and Stroll booths and the kick-off is the theme parade with about 100 groups. After the parade, you can visit one of 50 entertainers, 50 food booths, 150 juried arts and crafters, state of the art mechanical rides, and 150 community non-profit and government organizations, not to mention the unique and popular professional services, restaurants, and shops already here on Solano Avenue. You will hear the best in local music, dance and other performances and absolutely stunning costumes from all over the globe! This is a family event featuring a special area set aside just for kids that offer giant slides, carnival games, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, face painters, magicians and more!

SCVAS’ 23rd Annual Wildlife Education Day will take place on Saturday, October 18th at BLACKBERRY FARM in Cupertino, from 10AM-3PM. Sponsored by SCVAS, Wildlife Education Day has become one of the premier festivals in the Bay Area where hundreds of families come together to celebrate and learn about birds, nature, ecology, and wildlife.
