Nihonmachi Street Fair
11AM - 6PMPost & Fillmore in Japantown San Francisco, California
We need volunteers & birds to help us make new friends for pigeons & doves at the 41st Annual Nihonmachi Street Fair in Japantown. We need volunteers & birds, for all or part of the day. It’s fun! Please RSVP here.
Join us at this summer’s San Francisco Nihonmachi Street Fair, Sunday, August 3rd in SF’s Japantown (Post/Fillmore). The festival and outreach event will have a “Doggie World” area featuring local pet rescue agencies, pet care resources, and vendors.
This years’ theme is “Healthy Pet/Healthy You” and the community activity will be a short organized walk on Sunday from Fillmore up Post and around two blocks bordering the festival. Walking emphasizes the importance of exercise (for people and animals). The goal of the walk is to have fun and raise awareness about the animals in our community that need homes. You can show off your adoptable animals in a cute costume or a simple, classic “adopt me” bandana!
The festival attracts thousands of people over two days and is heavily advertised…on MUNI buses and MUNI kiosks throughout the City, on radio, and on digital ads at SFO International Airport. It’s a great opportunity to introduce your organization to a large number of people. You can read more about the festival on its website: http://www.
